LIGHTNING

Lightning on the Columbia River, originalmente cargada por phatman.

Lightning is an example of plasma present at Earth's surface.

The bolt of lightning in heraldry is called a thunderboltand in Sanskrit is called Vajra and is shown as a zigzag with non-pointed ends. This symbol usually represents power and speed; and thus has been used to represent the Hindu god Indra, as well as many advertisements which use such symbol to describe their product. It is also distinguished from the "fork of lightning".
